Dr. Vikas Jain
Experience: Over 25 years
Manipal Multispeciality Hospital, Dwarka
New Delhi, India
Introduction
Dr. Vikas Jain is the HOD of Urology and Renal Transplantation at Manipal Hospital Dwarka. Patients reach him for end-stage kidney disease, where a transplant is the only option, prostate cancer needing robotic removal, stones too big for regular treatment, and urine blockage from prostate enlargement that medicines couldn’t fix.
About Dr. Vikas Jain
Dr. Vikas Jain has experience of more than two decades in urology and has done over eleven hundred and fifty kidney transplants. Not many transplant surgeons in this country can match those numbers honestly. Picked up his DNB in Urology from Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad — one of the busiest urology centres you’ll find anywhere in India.
He became the first Indian to pass with distinction in the Diploma in Renal Transplantation Science from the University of Liverpool. He does kidney transplants and has helped set up and mentor transplant programs at twenty-six hospitals spread across eight states. Before Manipal, he was Director at Fortis Shalimar Bagh and Vasant Kunj, and ran things at Narayana Health. And built the first proper transplant department at ILBS from the ground up — which was a big deal because no Delhi government hospital had anything like that before.
