Dr. Shashidhar TB is an accomplished ENT specialist and currently works as the HOD at Artemis Hospital. He has over two decades of experience in dealing with a variety of ear, nose, and throat problems in children as well as adults.
He is a pioneer in his field of work, being the first in India to perform a special surgery for children, known as balloon laryngoplasty.
About Dr. Shashidhar TB
Dr. Shashidhar received his medical degrees from the top medical colleges in Chennai and New Delhi. He also received advanced training from the USA and France for children’s ENT and robotic surgery. His main aim is to help patients recover from the surgery faster using modern techniques of surgery to get back to a normal life.
One of the most interesting parts of Dr. Shashidhar’s career was when he was chosen to be a surgeon for the 34th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica. Because of his hard work in such a harsh environment, he was given the honorary title of “Polarman.” He has successfully performed thousands of surgeries, including cochlear implant surgeries that allow children to hear for the first time.
