Dr. Rajagopalan Krishnan gave forty-eight years dedicated entirely to the spine. He actually joined Apollo way back in 1995, specifically to build their tertiary spine service from scratch. He later moved to the UK, where he spent over a decade running a massive, high-volume spine service for the National Health Service (NHS) before coming back to India.
His academic and clinical background is incredibly deep. After getting his MS in Orthopaedics from Safdarjung Hospital, he earned his MCh from Liverpool (winning a Gold Medal) and went on to complete a full PhD at the University of London. He performs massive deformity corrections for severe scoliosis and kyphosis in both children and adults. He has even developed his own specific surgical techniques to treat painful, fluid-filled Tarlov cysts at the base of the spine.
