About Dr. Harit Chaturvedi
With over thirty-eight years in the operating room, Dr. Harit Chaturvedi has successfully executed thousands of complex cancer surgeries. Before building the massive oncology program at Max, he actually headed up the cancer departments at major hubs like Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Indraprastha Apollo, and Batra Hospital.
He completely changed how cancer care is handled at Max by bringing in the Disease Management Group model. Beyond the scalpel, he is a massive force in national cancer policy and a fierce crusader against tobacco usage. Proudly served as the President of both the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology and the Indian Society of Oncology. He was also the guy who built the Indian Cancer Congress, serving as its very first organizing secretary.
