Dr. Surender Dabas has spent twenty-three years in oncology. Over thirty thousand cancer surgeries where four thousand of those done with a robot. He is the surgeon who launched the robotic cancer surgery wave in India. And one who holds the record for doing the highest number of robotic head and neck surgeries in all of Asia.
He got his DNB in Surgical Oncology from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, then traveled the world to master the robot. Did a fellowship in robotic skull base surgery at MD Anderson in Texas, learned scarless thyroid surgery in South Korea, and became the only cancer surgeon in India certified by the University of Chicago specifically for robotic pancreatic surgery. Today, he travels internationally just to teach other surgeons how to use these robotic systems safely.
