About Dr. Satish Chandra Chhabra

He started at Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, teaching and treating kidney patients for years. Then he moved to Delhi and helped build dialysis centres in East Delhi. Back in the early ’90s, getting dialysis facilities there was tough, and he was part of setting up units so local people actually had somewhere to go.

In 2005, he joined Max Hospital, Patparganj, and built their nephrology unit from nothing. Transplant services came a few years later under him. Now he runs kidney care at both Max Patparganj and Vaishali, works includes dialysis, transplants, and long-term management.

Patient Experience & Approach

He listens when you go through your symptoms and past treatments. Kidney disease doesn’t hit overnight, as it builds slowly. Knowing what you’ve already tried helps him decide what to do next. He explains test results without drowning you in medical terms.

He’s strict about regular monitoring, watching your diet, and not missing dialysis sessions. According to him, staying on top of things is what keeps kidney disease from getting worse over time.
